What the game officially confirms
The Steam description explicitly says that players can befriend or romance the locals and even marry one. Relationships sit alongside farming, fishing, home customization, exploration, and turn-based combat rather than functioning as a separate game mode.
The official Wiki maintains character pages with schedules, homes, schedule overrides, and gift tables. Those records are the safest way to plan a visit because weather and story events can change where a character appears.
A reliable relationship routine
- Choose the person you want to know and check that character's current schedule on the official Wiki.
- Plan a route that fits around farming, fishing, mining, or quest work so a social visit does not consume an entire day.
- Use the character's documented gift table. Do not assume that a valuable item is automatically a loved gift.
- Keep progressing the wider game. Some homes, areas, and schedules are tied to access you gain through exploration and tasks.
- Recheck the official character record after major progression or a game update before following an old routine.
Gifts and character schedules
Gift preferences are character-specific. The official character reference separates neutral, liked, loved, and hated items, while individual schedules show morning, afternoon, evening, and night locations across the week. Weather can override a normal route, and some characters remain at the farm after visiting it.
That makes a schedule-first approach more dependable than carrying random gifts around town. Check the day and weather, identify one practical meeting point, then bring an item documented for that character.
Heart progress and marriage requirements
The available official store and Wiki references confirm the relationship, romance, gift, and marriage systems, but they do not provide one complete, versioned table of every romance candidate, heart event, proposal item, or marriage requirement. This guide therefore does not publish a made-up roster, universal heart threshold, or gift value.
For the current build, treat the in-game relationship information and the official character pages as the authority. If a candidate-specific requirement is added to the official documentation, it can be incorporated here with version context.
